My Sister as attended the Manor for many years due to serious problem with her ears and appointments have always been an issue. However this year the appointment system has become laughable if it wasnt so serious . My sister has a major op on her ear was reviewed two weeks after at that , the Dr told she should return in 4 weeks. three weeks later no appointment so rang the Manor and was told that she was missing which the person taking the call thought was hilarious. the appointment arrived now for 8 weeks so she rang the consultants secretary to see if the appointment could be bought forward as my sister was anxious to be seen in case of complications. The secretary told that she would try to give her an earlier appointment However no new appointment arrived and we drove 50 miles from were we live (My sister moved to Derbyshire but wanted to continue seeing the consultant) to keep the appointment given to her only to be told that the appointment had been cancelled no explaination as to why, we were told another appointment would be sent! My sister refused and told the staff member that she hadnt been notified and wanted to be seen. After some consultaion it was agreed that they would fit her in. this has been a very anxious time for her only to be made worse by the inadiquate appointment system l am writing this review on my sisters behalf as she has no internet access. Both she and myself feel the fact that no importance is placed on this issue ( on other occasions late appointments have an issue at one time due to the hospital cancelling her appointments it took a year for to see someone)
