"Parking nightmare"

Why oh why have they not made more of the car parks multi storied. Tried for 20 mins to get on a car park and then husband drove out of the hospital to park on a street. this is not the first time this has happened. Can't help but wonder if most of the missed appointments are due to not being able to park.

May I firstly apologise for the inconvenience caused during your recent visit to UHNM. This is obviously not the patient and visitor experience the Trust wish to provide.
By way of an explanation, the site is still in its final stages of construction, mainly involving the finishing and configuration of many of the hospital’s car parks. This has the unfortunate consequence of temporarily reducing car parking capacity and increasing congestion on the hospitals internal roads.
The Trust is aware of these problems and is taking immediate steps to improve the situation.
Once again, I can only apologise for your recent experience when visiting UHNM, but can assure you that the Trust is taking all practical steps possible to ensure an immediate improvement and assistance to our patents and visitors, whilst delivering a medium and long term solution.
