During my stay at St James's hospital I received the best care. Their nursing staff are second to none and made me feel a thousand times better with their caring nature and fantastic nursing skills. The hospital was very clean and the domestic staff were also very pleasant. I am truly grateful to the surgeon who did an amazing job with my thoracic surgery and the lovely anaesthetist who gave me lots of reassurance and helped me to feel more confident. In comparison to the hospital I was at before been transferred to St James's they are worlds apart and my review of my stay there would be extremely different. It is now coming up to five months since my stay at St James's and I want to say a huge thank you to all the staff in the Bexley wing who looked after me and an especially big thank you to the lovely lady nurse who helped make me so comfortable that night after my surgery who talked about disney films and made me smile and to the equally lovely male nurse who wouldn't take any nonsense from me and encouraged me to get out of bed and get dressed and helped me with my walking and was so efficient with my dressings and all aspects of his job, his perserverence definitely quickened my recovery. Both these nurses were absolutely fantastic and went out if their way to remember little things about me to make my stay a lot nicer. I will never forget their kindness and how well they looked after me. I am a care assistant and if I make my patients feel half as comfortable, at ease and reassured as these two nurses did me then I'd be more than happy with that. I'd like to again say a huge thank you to all those involved in my care and if ever i had to recommend a hospital to anyone I would without a doubt recommend Jimmy's.
