"Lung operation"

About: Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital NHS Trust HQ

I am writing this review as I think it's important that people looking for reassurance about this hospital know that they are going to be in the best place for I them. I've had nothing but a traumatic time for the last few months with my lung problem but I can honestly say from the moment I was admitted to this hospital I felt like I was in safe hands. This is without doubt the best place to be with any lung problem and the staff are so knowledgable, comforting and helpful that it's impossible not to have complete faith in them and the hospital. I was on cedar ward and the accomodation was great with extremely high levels of cleanliness and privacy when needed, even the hospital food was good. My pre and post operative care was fabulous with staff throughout the process working heard to put my mind at ease (this was my first ever stay and operation in a hospital). The hospitals open door policy for visitors meant that my family were with me from shortly after I woke up and were always made to feel welcome and comfortable when they visited ( my partner was even offered a pull out bed if he wanted to stay over).

Your feedback is so valuable and very much appreciated - thank you. We will pass this message on to the staff, especially those on Cedar Ward.
