My wife had a fall and landed very badly breaking her leg. I called 999 for an ambulance, because we are in a new build house I needed to give the operator additional information. I had hardly finished the call when the paramedic came in a first responder car. He examined my wife and give her pain relief. The ambulance arrived shortly after this and they then took my wife to the Dorchester County Hospital.
The paramedic and the ambulance crew were excellent, they latched onto our sense of humour and were able to lift our spirits, keeping up the chatter to stop us worrying.
Nothing could have gone better either with the paramedics or at the hospital.
