My wife had a fall on Friday, I could see from the way her foot was pointing that she had had a fracture of some sort. I called 999 and a first responder paramedic arrived within 10 minutes.
He gave my wife morphine to ease the pain before checking that she had not had other injuries. He and I made my wife as comfortable as we could after he had called for an ambulance back up.
Again the ambulance was there very quickly, I know that from me calling 999 to the ambulance taking her to Poole Hospital was 25 minutes. The team were very good throughout, they were very calm and efficient, very caring.
By Saturday my wife had had an operation to set her broken pelvis and by Sunday the nurses had her sitting in a chair. Brilliant treatment.
"The team were very good throughout"
