"Steroid injections"

About: Leicester General Hospital

After first steroid injection worked well, went for next one 6 months later - didn't work. When next saw consultant, was told they had injected a different site! Now having to wait till November to get the correct injection, which will mean I have spent about a year in dire pain. Totally unacceptable. Offered chance to join a group to talk about my pain - what a laugh! In too much pain to get there. Had the correct spot been injected in the first place, none of this would have been necessary. What gives the consultant the right to inject the muscle I didn't need injecting?

Dear Reviewer We’re sorry to hear this. We absolutely agree this is unacceptable and would very much like to investigate further. We would encourage you to send an email to communications@uhl-tr.nhs.uk with your name, date of birth, address and the name of consultant – if you know it – and we’ll look into this right away. Sincerely Communications Team Leicester’s Hospitals
