My dad was admitted with sepsis on Friday through A &E. He had a cannula fitted that we later discovered wasn't into a vein. After he got to a ward he was left for hours without pain relief. He didn't have his daily medications (which were with him locked in the bedside box) for 3 days as they hadn't been "written up" by the doctors. He is now getting worse and shaking uncontrollably. The staff are finally doing something but I feel it's too little too late. After complaining about the length of time it took to get pain relief he still was left over half an hour. It would have been longer has u not drawn their attention to it. I never complain but my dad has terminal advanced pancreatic cancer and I feel really let down.
"Extremely Disappointed"
