Due to location of home, usually Shrewsbury RSH used, but due to no ITU beds, relocated to New Cross ITU. Have had previous incidents of severe lack of staff empathy, rudeness/lack of knowledge and understanding of self harm and ovedose at RSH. At New Cross,Staff empathy, care and equal treatment both in ITU and on ward was like a breathe of fresh air... Had no feelings of high anxiety (usually experienced), and felt that I was treated the same as any any other patient within the ward by all members of staff... The choice and variety of food was extremely good (despite my lack of appetite). After previous experience of being in hospital on numerous occasions, my experience at New Cross, ITU and ward C17 were second to none... I thank all the nurses and Doctors in my recovery
