"They will mess your appointments."

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital (London)

Waited 2 months with abdominal pain and bleeding after referral from A&E to visit consultant Surgeon in Gastroenterology department , visit took place on 29 July 2014 from this date no follow up appointment has been made and is now been 2 months , I called secretary on 16/09 and reception D and they confirmed no appointment has been made so far so I asked for one, Still haven't received. During this time I had Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy and been diagnosed with very nasty crohn disease, Now can't get proper treatment because I need to have biopsy results of which the consultant has and I can't get appointment because administration team failed to do so. Now I am booked private specialist but still need biopsy results from consultant and can't get it : I wrote the letter with request to send me copy of biopsy , nothing , called reception 15 times in 3 days nobody answer, sent email to consultant, nothing. So please if some one reading this review please sent me my Medical record urgent, because I have will see soon Private specialist that I paid 100£ . So I am trying contact consultant for the past 2 weeks ,I should have follow up appointment at Queen Elizabeth Hospital but secretary and reception faild to arrange it. Now I am running out of time , I have left letter to you at Queen Elizabeth Hospital outpatient department , I also spoke with the secretary who advised me to write to the consultant about sending to me my biopsies results from 24 Aug 2014. This not acceptable that I can't access my medical records, I have appointment in next 12 days with other specialist and they are urgent needed.

I am very sorry to learn about the delays you have experienced and that you have not been able to obtain your biopsy results. In order for these issues to be addressed I would suggest that you contact our PALS (Patient Advice & Liaison Service) on 0208 836 4592, as soon as possible. The PALS team will be able to assist you with the issues you have raised. Jo Peck, Head of Nursing\Deputy Service General Manager
