I was recently a patient on Swan Ward, otherwise known as Ward 11.
The Surgeon and his team were brilliant and I cannot fault the care I received.
However, the day after my operation painters turned up on the ward to spruce up some of the walls. While we were assured that the paint was low odour, other patients in my bay and myself were not impressed.
When we asked why it was suddenly being painted at the 11th hour as it was almost 5.30pm we were advised that it was per instructions of THE HOSPITAL MATRON and that the HEALTH CARE COMMISSION were visiting the next day.
The paint odour made me feel sick and I sat with my oxygen mask on all evening and the whole of the next morning.
This was the only thing that I wasn't impressed with during my stay.
