I've had a number of these procedures at various hospitals in the past. The Endoscopy Unit in Royal Berks ranks very highly. I arrived at 1200 on 27th September and was free to go home at 1430. The staff were excellent. They took time and care to explain what was going to happen, making sure I was comfortable during the procedure and rested before I left. The debriefing before I left was very clear and unhurried. The facility was modern, well appointed and spotless - just what we want from the NHS.
