"Thank you to the kind staff of Barnsley CCU"

I haven't been too well for a while. My husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer in November. The stress of it all made me want to keep going although I felt ill myself.

I went to see my GP who wanted to send me into hospital straight away but I declined due to my circumstances, so he sent me straight for an emergency x-ray. While at hospital, I collapsed and my niece took me to A&E. I was then taken to the Coronary Care Unit as my heart was beating fast due to the fluid in my lungs.

I spent a week in C.C.U and I couldn't wish for better care. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The food was good - there was a choice fo meals and they were always served warm and on time.

I wish to thank everyone involved during my stay in Barnsley District General hospital, as the care and kindness of all staff was second to none. Thank you all.
