"A knee replacement"

About: Stafford Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I was operated on in September. The next day I was walking with crutches. The following day I left hospital.

Everyone I encountered did their job well. The nursing staff were very helpful and empathetic. The ancillary staff also helped make what could have been a very stressful situation bearable. Well done.

The nursing care and the food was good. However the noise at night could be improved.

Dear "squash"

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. I have shared this with the orthopaedic team. It is great to hear you had such a positive experience and recovered from your operation so quickly.

We are aware that noise at night is a problem in many of our clinical areas and have introduced many interventions to try to improve this. If you have any suggestions they would be very welcome. My email address is angela.grocott@midstaffs.nhs.uk

Kind Regards

Angela Grocott
