Ward 9 admission after a long wait from trauma injury was a reassuring experience. Shoulder surgery went well. Staff were fantastic considering how busy the ward was. Was checked on frequently and asked on pain levels and did not wait long for any I needed. Lovely iced water and a cooling fan made my overnight stay comfortable. The food was awful so was glad I wasn't in any longer. My only negative is the wait for a bed even though it was a planned admission meant I arrived at 7am as told but was 11am before I got a bed. Stressful for any already anxious patient.
