"I hope the annoying Bounty girl isn't there any..."

About: Worthing Hospital

Worthing maternity care was fantastic during pregnancy, I know they cocked up with the birth as I was referred to a midwife counsellor, but I have a healthy baby so there we go. However, the postnatal ward was not much cop. They tried to discharge me on the same day as I had lost nearly 2l of blood, and I was discharged with no medication (I should have been on low molecular weight heparin for 6 weeks). Rather careless I feel.

Thank you for your comments and feedback following your experience in 2013. We are sorry that there were issues with your post natal care particularly with your stay on the post natal ward. We have been working hard to ensure that all women receive the care and treatment that they need. To reassure you, referral to the midwife counsellor is made for all woman who may have had complications associated with their birth. Complications sometimes do occur and are often unpredicatable as every woman is different. As NHS choices is anonymous, if you would like to discuss your own case further in person, please contact us via our PALS department on 01903 285032 between 9am and 4.30pm Monday-Friday or email PALSWorthing@wsht.nhs.uk
