The nurses and doctors were fantastic whilst i was in hospital with severe tonsillitis, and the cleanliness of the ward was amazing. Having never been admitted to any hospitals before i was pleasantly surprised by the quality of care I received and the friendliness of the staff- it was as comfortable a stay as one could hope for when in hospital! Unfortunately following my departure my discharge notes were incorrect and incomplete. There was no mention of my diagnosis of glandular fever despite being hospitalised and medicated for 4 days. My Blood results, CT scan, follow- up ultra sound scan results and diagnosis were not forwarded to my GP meaning I am unable to obtain a medical note which I desperately need as I missed an exam whilst in hospital. Despite countless calls to the hospital and several voicemail messages left for the ENT secretary I am still no closer to obtaining these. I was discharged on July 13th. I feel totally helpless and do not understand A) why I am having to chase these result and B) why no one seems able or willing to help- I really am banging my head against a brick wall!
"Excellent care but appalling after care"
