"Plastic surgery appointment"

About: Torbay Hospital

I attended an appointment in the plastic surgery department today and in the past have been delighted with my care at Torbay hospital but after this appointment felt quite disappointed and unhappy with my care. A nurse called me into a room where I was left by myself for a good 10 minutes whilst waiting for the doctor who I could hear discussing holiday plans with a nurse in a adjoining room and then when the doctor did arrive I felt they did not have the time to spend with me or even seemed like they wanted to be in the consultation. The doctor did answer my questions but I felt they were brief in their manner and when the consultation ended I thought a hand shake would be polite but this was not returned. I will be requesting to see a different doctor to continue my care.
