I have just returned from an overnight stay with my five year old son in the children's HDU (John Radcliffe children's hospital) after his adenoids and tonsils were removed. From the moment we stepped in the door the standard of care was excellent from TDA to our exit from HDU. Everyone we met from the anaesthetists to play specialists to the doctors and nurses were amazing. At no point was I left uninformed or wondering what was happening next. Each new person already knew all about my son and were kind, caring and knowledgeable. As busy as everybody was, nothing seemed like too much trouble. . I was also found accommodation in Ronald McDonald house which meant I got a night's sleep with full confidence that my son was being cared for. I've never experienced a hospital with staff like this or with levels of care so high.
"Amazing child care by ENT and HDU team for my 5..."
