"Referral to cancer service"

About: Dr Gray's Hospital / Urology (Bladder and Urinary problems)

(as a relative),

My fathers GP sent an urgent referral to urology department at Dr Gray's hospital at the end of May. 126 days later (so far) my father still has no idea what stage his diagnosed prostate cancer is at and has no follow up appointment arranged.

Dear Glin

Thank you for feeding back this information via Patient Opinion. The advise we would give is for your father to contact his GP for an update and to check that the referral has been sent. Due to the requirements around patient confidentiality we would not be able to look into this case without your father's permission. However if he would like to give me a call I can be contacted on 01224 558449.
