I had treatment for breast cancer a few weeks ago and i have to say that the care i received throughout my stay at Bolton Hospital was fantastic.
The nurses on both F5 and F6 wards were the best I have ever come across. Some were slightly more caring than others and I have to mention a nurse called Claire who was so caring and thoughtful. She made me feel like I was the only patient on the ward.
I also have to say that during my stay I came across 2 student nurses who, if they carry on the way they are at the moment are going to be a credit to the profession when they complete their training, one was called Claire and the other more mature of the two was called Cath.
The ward was clean and even the meals were palatable. All in all as pleasant an experience as it could have been. We are too quick to criticise the nursing profession and not quick enough to praise...well done ladies and keep up the good work!
