"Wonderful service for my father's heart attack"

My 85 year old father suffered chest pains when at home alone. He called right away and an ambulance arrived extremely quickly.

He was initially driven to the PRU in Farnborough, Bromley but immediately the back doors opened and a triege nurse viewed my father's heart reading he sent them off to KC Hosp in London.

They diagnosed a heart attack and within one hour he had signed the consent form and was taken for an operation to clear the blocked artery/valve. This was carried out successfully I am glad to report and he then spent 3 days on a cardiac recovery ward. He was then allowed home with medication.

He continues to do very well indeed and I and all our family would like to praise all concerned. I think the NHS comes in for such a lot of stick, but praise where it is due, we found the entire NHS to be helpful, kind, informative and above all extremely caring towards my father.
