I fell on the main street in Guildford and broke 2 fingers on my left hand. My husband drove me to the A&E at The Royal Surrey and when I arrived the staff quickly got me seen by a nurse. I was then seen by the Emergency Consultant who had my left hand and arm x-rayed. There was little waiting around. My husband was allowed to be with me throughout the examination and all the staff I was in contact with were very kind helpful and explained everything clearly. My fingers were manipulated and reduced and casted but it was decided I should be admitted overnight so my fingers could be operated on the next day. Again all the staff on the Bramshott ward went out of their way to make me comfortable. The Registrar and Consultant responded appropriately to my request to go back to Canada for further treatment, explaining the pros and cons. I was allowed to leave the next morning with strict instructions to go to my hospital immediately on my return home. Throughout my whole time at the hospital I was very impressed by the level of care and expertise I was given.
"Exceptional care for Canadian holiday maker"
