I was treated well by the triage nurse and then waited for the doctor, though I wished I hadn't. When I told her my symptoms she was less than sympathetic. She looked at me like I was wasting her time and she treated me the same. She made me feel really small and when she looked at the area in question she said she could see nothing wrong and made me feel like a fool and stated that the area where I was in pain was not her specialising. On leaving the department I asked her advice whether to go to the walk in centre, next door and she said "you could do". At the walk in centre everyone was exactly the opposite. They were lovely and when the lead clinic nurse looked at my problem she told me that it was quite severe and could understand why I was in agony. Shame the doctor didn't. I am appalled by that doctor and I hope I don't have to return to the UCC.
"very good reception staff and triage nurse ......"
