"staff on ward 2"

my 88yr old mum has spent over 2 months in this ward and i can truly say what excellent, caring and professional staff work there.. both nursing and healthcare assistants. they treated my mum with kindness, patience and dignity, as well as being generally happy in their disposition while working with all of the elderly patients on this ward.....as i live over 5 hrs away by train, i was allowed to stay much longer than normal on my weekend visits and wish to say that the ward was always clean, the patients clean , and the food was excellent with a good choice each meal time. ...staff were happy, friendly and approachable. when i rang the ward from my home down south, it was always answered with in a good length of time, and the mobile phone available for patients was answered promptly for the most part, and taken to my mum with a clear explanation of who was calling her. i saw other patients in the ward being treated equally as well during my visits and wish to thank all the staff for their hard work, over long shifts,,, sometimes with unexpected staff shortages...... you do an amazing and under valued job.
