"poor care"

When admitted to hospital with severe lower abdominal pains, it was a concern either I had a burst appendix or my fallopian tubes were the cause. I was jabbed with needles countless times in attempts to get blood after stating the condition I was in was too delicate to do so. I had two veins in my arm pop as the doctor was pretty much picking spots on my arms as a whim to 'get lucky' for blood. It got to the point they refused me pain relief unless it could be done by iv. Tried taking more blood from my feet and we're generally quite negligent to my personal needs over basic protocol. Considering they had not ruled out the potential of my pregnancy yet still went ahead with giving me morphine and xrays. When I was admitted to a ward I had a vaginal examination by a doctor who was coming back with the update 10min later. I was then told the doctor had left for the weekend and no notes had been passed on for my examination. That was a considerable concern seeing as he had been prodding and poking me and then just left with no which way of what was going on downstairs. I was very uninformed of plans with my treatment and severel staff had to enquire to other professionals for what to do with my deteriorating health with no doctors present for atleast a few hours. I was refused any pain relief or help and had my curtain closed on me as not to cause distress or to disturb the other women. Two ladies on my ward tried to get help for me themselves as it was not being given. In the end I self discharged to take care of myself at home as it seemed to be a safer and much more helpful way to get better then the hospital did! It then took four and a half hours for the staff to even register that I was no longer in hospital! Not happy and will not recommend to people. If I did have a burst appendix then it was not getting treated that day that's for sure.
