"Stroke emergency unit"

About: University College Hospital

I was referred to this unit by Royal Free and the treatment and assessment were first class. Dedicated kind staff, conscientious nursing, good facilities, I felt I was in the best possible hands and my issues were taken seriously. The food was also good, someone has been working on that aspect too. I think the staff are handicapped by bad admin - beats me why NHS cannot get this right when you consider what they pay all these managers but this is no reflection on the staff who just have to cope with that as well as doing a good job. The same sex wards should be phased out, I just can't see the point of them.

Thank you for taking the time to feed back to us. We are very sorry to hear about your recent experience of administration at the UCLH Stroke Unit. We would be grateful if you could contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) via pals@uclh.nhs.uk or by calling 020 3447 3042 so that we can look into this.
