"Put at ease by ultrasound technician"

I had my 20 week ultrasound scan at Stafford Hospital (Mid Staffs) with a technician called Galal, who was absolutely fantastic and made it a relaxed and very positive and enjoyable experience. His easy manner and fantastic sense of humour (despite the early hour) created an enjoyable atmosphere for what could potentially be quite a stressful scan (as they are checking for problems with the baby). Throughout the scan, he communicated what he was doing, so we were always aware of what we were seeing on the screen, and was clearly incredibly competent, which further put us at ease. Having had 4 other scans, I can safely say that his attitude and conduct were a key part of the enjoyable experience of the scan and I feel very lucky to have had him doing it because it made my day.
