(as a relative),

A member of our family has been in the hospital for months and we only came across this group by accident, the other day when we noticed leaflets next to their office near the hospital entrance.

Lindsay was professional, supportive and informative, and is continuing to help provide support and advice to my family members. The service they provide is excellent and it's a shame we were never informed about them well before now. We feel all patients who are seriously ill and could need long term care by there families should be given a leaflet as a matter of course on the wards about how useful the Carers centre is. We just wish we'd met them earlier. Please let families know about these people earlier as they're advice is very valuable.

Thank you for taking the time to give feedback.

It is good to hear you found the Dumfries and Galloway Carers Centre so useful, but sorry you did not discover their office at the hospital main entrance and the services they offered sooner.

I will raise the point you noted about not being aware the service was available and explore how the Carers Centre and their services are advertised or highlighted on the wards.
