About: Greater Manchester Six Degrees IAPT

(as the patient),

I was referred to 6 degrees by my GP. At the time I was in a very bad place with suicidal thoughts, without 6 degrees and Mind I would not be here to share this with you.

A young therapist treated me, although I was unable to open up to her to begin with she persevered with me. I was able to tell her about thinks that had happened during my childhood, about the death of my wife which devastated me and with her help was able to start to put things into perspective and feel more positive.

Mind supported me though this period as well, they were able to help me with my appeal against DWP.

I still have a long way to go but I know that with the help of my GP, 6 Degrees, Mind and other organisations I will get there.
