"Ambulance for fall in Connaught Gardens"

About: South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as a relative),

I’d like to thank Patrick, Gary and Grant for looking after my wife after she had a nasty fall in the Connaught Gardens in Sidmouth. Someone must have called for an ambulance and this arrived in no time at all.

My wife had injured her wrist and had cuts to her face, she was distraught by the fall and her injuries. The ambulance crew members were very good at calming her down and checking the full extent of her injuries. They were able to clean up the cuts on her face and examined her wrist, which was broken.

As the cuts needed to be stitched and the broken wrist needed to be set we were taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital where my wife was subsequently treated. We were very pleased with the ambulance service.

Dear Niff319

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I hope your wife is recovering well following her fall.

It is always rewarding to hear that our staff are continuing to provide excellent care to our patients, and their family members, when they need us most.

I would like to pass your kind comments onto Patrick, Gary and Grant who came to your wife's aid. Would you be able to contact me, laura.martin@swast.nhs.uk or call 01392 453831, at your convenience, with the date that the ambulance attended? This would allow me to identify the staff involved and ensure they are recognised for the care they gave.

Thank you again for providing feedback on our service.

Kind regards

Laura
