About: Basildon University Hospital

My 83 year old father was admitted to Osler ward early August. We have always used Southend hospital prior due to our location and this was our first experience of Basildon. We were quite concerned given the bad publicity in the press. However we have nothing but praise for the doctors and staff of Osler ward. My father was quite a difficult patient prone to outbursts due to his dementia. The staff were always caring and attentive. I would have no hesitation in recommending Basildon hospital to friends and family. A special mention must go a member of the CCMT team who went to great lengths to place my father in a nursing home as quickly as she could.
