"Gallstones - Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy"

About: Glenfield Hospital

I was admitted as a day patient to Ward 23A for removal of my gallbladder and associated stones. I was rather anxious about the procedure, but by the end of the day it had been an almost pleasant experience. I felt cared for from the moment I arrived on the ward and this was true of every member of the Team that I came into contact with throughout the day. I was treated in a considerate manner and was put at my ease with gentle cheerfulness and encouragement. Well done Glenfield, yet again. You gave me a wonderful hip replacement six years ago that gave me my life back. I am so grateful for what you have done for me, and though I am in no hurry to be readmitted to hospital, you would be my first choice should I be forced to do so. It is only 24 hours since the procedure and I couldn't feel any better. Slight discomfort from the incisions, but hardly noticeable. Couldn't have asked for better. My grateful thanks to everyone involved.
