"I would like to commend the staff ..."

About: Royal Free Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I would like to commend the staff of the ER after I was taken to ER by ambulance on the evening of Thursday, February 19, 2009. I had become unconscious and hit my head on the floor that evening. The Ambulance technician who transferred me to the Hospital did a very efficient job and took my EEG several times in the ambulance and stayed with me until I was admitted to the Hospital ER.

During the five hours that I was there, the ER was very busy, yet they never lost track of my care.

The Doctor who saw me was very caring and carefully checked and rechecked my condition, and consulted with the physician in charge and took very good care of me.

The Head nurse was particularly attentive. He explaied each part of the procedure to me and to my husband, who accompainied me, and was particularly attentive. He eventually glued my scalp to protect the wound and enable me to be discharged. He provided us with post operative instructions as to care and what to do if there were any additional problems and what tests and physicians to see to check my condition, when we arrived home. I should mention that we were Americans on vacation and were very impressed by the standard of Emergency Room care rendered to me.

It’s always nice to have positive feedback, so thankyou very much for your comments. They have been passed onto the department.
