"Am being listened to and not dismissed because of my age"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS) The Princess Royal Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

Not feeling satisfied with just being subscribed painkillers for the increasing pain & disability caused by arthritis (right knee) I spoke to my GP. He, through TRAQS, got me an appointment with the orthopaedic clinic, where I learnt, after xrays, that the condition isn't severe enough for an operation. Am now to have an MRI scan.

Do feel satisfied, now, that I am being listened to, and not dismissed because of my age. (Am now in my 82nd year)

Was treated politely throughout.

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your recent referral via TRAQS.

I am pleased that TRAQS were able to arrange a suitable appointment at a hospital of your Choice.

Although your referral was processed by the TRAQS team we note that your comments relate to Princess Royal Hospital NHS Trust who do not have access to respond to postings on Patient Opinion. As all postings received are anonymous I am unable to pass on your comments to the hospital.

May I suggest that you contact the Patient Advice Liaison Officer (PALS). They will be able to accept your positive comments and pass them on to the departments concerned with your treatment.
