" I feel they didn't care about me"

About: Borders General Hospital / Gynaecology

(as other),

My experience of ward 16 at borders general hospital is the ward is clean, the consultant I had has gave me excellent care but the nurses are so ignorant as they were rushing me to eat my breakfast in order for someone else to get the bed I didn't get to finish my breakfast nor did I get a chance to have a shower or leave the hospital and ward before the nurses had someone else in the bed I was in. I thought this was disgraceful. Staff are supposed to be there for the care and safety of patients but i feel they didn't care about me. They even dumped my bag of clothes, nightwear and toiletries on a table and I was left to sit and wait.

Dear Holly

I have shared your feedback with Anne Simpson, the Senior Charge Nurse for Ward 16. We are very disappointed that your experience has left you feeling that the nursing staff didn’t care about you. You should have been given adequate time to finish your breakfast and have shower before being discharged and we are sorry that this was not the case.

In order for us to look into this further please contact either Anne on (01896 826016) or myself on (01896 826706). Your feedback will be shared with the nursing staff on Ward 16, so they can make sure experiences like yours are avoided in the future. Thank you for taking the time to feedback your experience.
