"Accidental injury on holiday visit to Dover Castle..."

About: William Harvey Hospital

My wife Marie accidentally trapped her right hand thumb in our car door almost completely severing it at the top joint whilst visiting Dover Castle on Holiday. Help was summoned and an ambulance with two paramedics took over with great care, consideration, and skill. She was taken to the William Harvey where she was dealt with in the best time possible within a busy Sunday afternoon. The care and attention she received cannot be praised enough. The Senior Nursing Sister took charge and carried out all the necessary treatment and follow up arrangements involving making an appointment for treatment the next day at the QV Hospital East Grinstead, with such speed and efficiency together with all the care and consideration one could ever wish for. Our thanks go out to everyone involved. I am pleased to say that my Wife is well on the way to recovery already. Very best regards and many thanks, Barry Simpson.
