"Amazing Midwives and great birthimg experience"

About: Royal Hampshire County Hospital

I went to Winchester to give birth to my son towards the end of August. The labour ward knew I was heading there early hours of the morning and was desperate for pain relief. Although they were very busy and short staffed I was satisfied that everything was done to help me as quickly as possible and all the midwives were lovely and supportive. From then on I had an amazing, supportive midwife who made me feel at ease and gave me a great pep talk to help me through some of the fears I had regarding the delivery based on my 1st labour experience. I had a very competent student come in and deliver my baby who was also really nice. Despite all the horrible things that come with labour, the 2 midwives who delivered my son were a credit to Hampshire's maternity service and I wouldn't hesitate to use the hospital again if I was to have a third baby in the hope that I would receive the same level of care.
