I am 88 and live on my own in Saltash. I had a fall yesterday and a paramedic came out to me. He was wonderful and I have to say the other ambulance staff I have met have also been wonderful too. He initially thought I had broken my rib but it seems I’m just badly bruised. His care kept me out of hospital. I don’t mind St Barnabas but I don’t like Derriford. At my age my independence is very important to me and the paramedic’s care helped me remain independent.
