I was referred to the department a few months prior to my appointment due to experiences pain and bleeding. Two weeks before my appointment I sadly had a miscarriage (7/40 weeks). When I booked in I had to wait in a waiting room with expectant mothers waiting for their scan. This first of fall made me feel awful. I was later called in for an ultrasound, I was asked when my last period was and proceeded to explain that I had a miscarriage two weeks ago. The female ultrasonographer reply was "well that changes things doesn't it" and let out a sigh. As if I was making her job so hard because I had lost my baby. I was disgusted and did not feel respected at all and left feeling extremely upset. Definitely didn't help me to cope with the miscarriage and it still effects me now,
"made to feel awful"
