"Lovely medical staff, respectful and human."

About: Trafford General Hospital

Attended the gynaecology unit and even though it was for not the nicest of reasons the staff there could not have been more helpful. I felt really cared about and respected. All the staff gave me time to talk, they listened to me and answered my questions. I think many hospitals and medical staff across the country could learn from the staff here. I have to give them a glowing review because they made a terrible experience very bearable. I was seen by a nurse and a doctor and then another nurse joined us, I had all the tests possible done there and then which meant that I didn't even have time to worry. They told me all the time that everything was my choice which is very important because it meant that at a time where I felt a certain loss of control about my illness they were giving me back as much control as possible. This in turn made it easier for me to decide to have all the tests they offered there and then. I could not fault them, they covered everything including giving me a number to ring in case I got worried about anything or needed to ask questions. They told me if things got worse I could just go in to see them. Fantastic service, lovely staff, I'm very grateful to them because I am a worrier and I hate having to go the docs but this felt so safe and I felt like I was in good hands which meant a lot and made the experience much easier to deal with. Many thanks to them.
