"Burn Care"

About: Bodmin Community Hospital

My toddler daughter had a burn on her shoulder. We went straight to Bodmin Minor Injuries and she was cared for very well by nurses who tried to reassure her even though she was shy and distressed. They treated her well, explaining to me what was going on and what they were doing. They also advised me on the right painkillers to keep her comfortable. We had to visit several times in the following weeks to redress the wound and to check it was healing. Each time we were seen promptly and dealt with well.

Thank you for your feedback. We want to make sure that our teams know when they have made a positive difference, so we will pass your appreciation on to those who were involved in your experience of care at Bodmin MIU. It is always a shock to the parents when children are in pain and we are really pleased you were given the reassurance you needed whilst your daughter was being treated.
