I was taken by an ambulance to the Glenfield Hospital at approximately 11:30pm. I was seen by a clinical nurse, and I had some blood taken and then by a doctor in the "triage" bays. After a second blood test, a heart attack was confirmed. Then I was transferred to the CDU ward. I as there for nearly 48 hours a "monitored bed" became available. All the staff were excellent. I am vegetarian and the meals too very excellent and of very high quality. Then I was transferred to Ward 33. I was constantly monitored. The medical staff ensured I was given information of my treatment. Once again all the staff were excellent. There were emergencies when I saw a large number of staff acted promptly to provide urgent medical assistance, This reassured me that I was in the best hospital, should I need medical assistance. After an angiogram I was discharged with appropriate medication. I am glad that there such world class facility in the heat of UK. I total I was in the hospital for 7 nights. Thank you to NHS and all the staff at Glenfield Hospital.
