"Broken upper arm"

The care I received at Grantham Hospital orthopaedic department was excellent. Having slipped and fallen whilst about to go on holiday, I ended up in Luton A and E. This was really grim. They sent me home to Grantham Hospital with a complicated broken arm and dislocated shoulder. The contrast with Luton could not have been greater!. Everyone from the A and E admissions lady to the most senior doctor, were so helpful, informative and caring. I received an emergency operation from one of the excellent orthopaedic surgeons, and the care from the ward staff afterwards was very good. No complaints at all, except for the horrible coffee! Thank you so much Grantham Hospital for giving me the operation and care I needed at that time, to enable my arm to heal. Thank you too for the chance to use the hydrotherapy pool, and for the advice of the physios. We have an excellent facility in our hospital which I hope we never lose.
