"Excellent maternity care"

I noticed that many of the reviews for this hospital were negative and just wanted to share my very positive experience of the maternity care I received at Northwick Park. I had my second child delivered by C-section here and was very happy with the care received. My first child was born at Whittington hospital in Islington and I had a very unhappy experience and difficult birth. Due to 3rd degree tear from my first birth I opted for an elective C-section and the consultant at Northwick Park greenlit this straight away and was very understanding. Waiting times were reasonable for London and midwives were very nice. The actual day of surgery was a breeze- turned up at 7.30am, was in theatre at 9am and baby born at 9.50am. Anaesthetist went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable and understood everything that was happening. The midwives on the recovery ward afterwards were very kind, there were 3 other women in a room with me which was quite spacious. Can't complain. Was out after 2 days. None of the stress and negativity of Whittington, there seemed to be good morale amongst the staff who were very patient and jolly.
