"Impressive response to concerns / Stradbroke Ward"

Happily, my confidence has been restored. The concerns I raised where quickly responded and resolved in a very considerate fashion. My husband is now much more comfortable and settled in an area of the ward better suited to his recovery. The help and support from the PALS service and the ward matron were greatly appreciated. Sometimes, things don't go as smoothly as everyone would like, however, I do think how well an organisation reacts to those times speaks volumes and I was really impressed with the way things were handled today. I would also like to say, although I did have some concerns about the general cleanliness on arrival at the ward in my previous comments, I spent most of the day on the ward settling my husband down, the housekeeping team where doing a great job, as was everyone I came into contact with. One thing I didn't take into consideration last night was how much more mobile the patients on this ward are and I think that makes it harder to keep things clean and tidy. I did see a few hand prints on the wall - but as I noticed today - some of the patients lean on the walls, so, hand prints will happen. There were some sticky patches, but some of the patients are not to steady and spills will happen. However, the important thing is, this morning they where gone. We did arrive on the ward quite late and to to be fair to the staff, most of the issues I noticed last night could well have been from the patients activity during the day. When I arrived this morning and there was a full staff at work, it looked 100% better.
