I was rushed into medway hospital after my home birth went wrong, my baby was born at home but I had problems after the birth, I got the 20 miles journey to hospital in a incredible time and was taking straight up to a private room where I was offered pain relief while I was waiting for the surgical team to come check me and see what they need to do, I wasnt left at all I had a midwife or doctor with me, they was extremely friendly and helped me alot due to my panic attacks, I was taken in for surgery and greeted my a kind team of surgens, I was given a spinal block and had some doctors talking to me and checking on me while in was undergoing internal stitching, I was then put in a room so they could observe me before going to kent ward where I was met with some amazing midwives who helped me change, brought me whatever I needed to help me, came to help with baby as I was unable to move and even helped me out to the car on my way home! Amazing midwives and surgeons

Thank you very much for taking the time to let us know about your recent experience with us at Medway, especially at such a busy time with a new baby. We have had the opportunity to make many changes and improvements in our service over the last 6 – 9 months, one improvement is that we have been able to ensure more midwives are on duty each shift and I am pleased to hear that you were never left alone at this vulnerable time.
