"A Drama I didn't expect."

I was in Chichester to go to the theatre on Wednesday 30th July. Whilst eating lunch, I became ill. I had a very uncomfortable back pain, and thought I was going to pass out. My husband called an ambulance and I ended up in the A and E dept of your hospital. The nursing staff were all kind, helpful and treated me very well during my stay. I was in A and e for about six hours. The consultant was absolutely marvellous and involved me at every stage of the procedure, his thoroughness was a credit to his profession. A remarkable, caring, compassionate and very thorough, professional. I can't say thank you enough for his treatment. Unfortunately, the doctor whom I saw latterly and who discharged me, I was not at all impressed with. The doctor had a very flippant and casual manner, and I was relieved to be discharged. Overall, tho excellent staff and care, a big thank you. Noeline Sargent
