"childrens day surgery ward"

About: Musgrove Park Hospital (Taunton)

Wow what an amazing experiance we received at the childrens day surgery ward. My son who is ASD had to have surgery, we had visited previous hosp the last was barnstaple and we received substandard care and support, however our experiance at Musgrove was the complete opposite. We arrived and we were taken almost straight into the ward where we were assigned our nurse, what a wonderful, caring lady, in fact all the staff were fantastic. We were kept informed all the way through when he was going down and if there were any delay. When my son went down the nurse came with me and I saw my son off to sleep and I was quite emotional, the nurse put her arm around me and kept me so supported even after we came back to the ward. She then made me a cup if coffee and sat with me and talked about his aftercare. What great service and everyone I met was superb. A huge Thank you to everyone but especially this nurse. The following morning I received a telephone call from the ward just to ask how my son was, Wow what lovely, lovely staff. A big think you to each of you. X x You make the NHS what it can be. X x

Thank you very much indeed for taking the time to write to give praise to the staff who cared for your son at Musgrove Park Hospital, also the staff who looked after you while your son went to surgery. It is always a pleasure to receive commendations such as yours and I thank you for your kind comments which I will pass on to the staff who were involved in your son’s care; positive feedback is much appreciated. I do hope this finds your son making a good recovery. Lucille Hoose. PALS & Complaints Lead
