"Patient Choice - can be confusing!"

I have just been sent a letter from my Doctors advising me that my hospital referal can be booked at Rotherham or Chesterfield Hospitals I find this strange because I live in Sheffield and Sheffield hospital do have an ENT department so why do I have to go to a different town for treatment. I can understand the choices if there are different waiting times at each hospital but I have not been given my own town as one of the available choices so this make no sence unless my doctors are making some sort of deal to out source patient to other towns.
